With election day finally over, we are pleased to announce that both our candidates had their best results ever in both Castle Point and Rayleigh & Wickford! For a small branch of the Greens that was only properly formed in 2023, it has been amazing to see we have managed. To put up good strong fights in both local and now General elections with very little resources I think it speak volumes to the determination of ourselves and all the voters out there.
People want to vote Green!
Special shout out goes to our Branch Secretary Ed for acting as election agent for both candidates, and Jill for acting as a sub agent and for all the work she did at the Hustings events in Rayleigh. Also massive thank you to Rachael who went as Bob’s guest to the count.
Massive thank you to all our members of our little branch, all the support and encouragement you gave to the candidates.
And thank you to everyone who voted Green, locally and Nationally. Thursday 4th July 2024 showed the Green movement is alive, well and GROWING.
With 2025 being a lame duck year, next round of local elections won’t be until 2026 so we will be spending the next year, building our forces, raising fund and raising awareness of Rochford & Castle Point Greens, so we can make 2026 even better than 2024!
